Startup Fears & Anxiety – How I cope

This week I’d like to address the topic of fear and anxiety – something every entrepreneur will likely deal with. I am no expert, but as an entrepreneur I have spent my share of time reflecting on my fears. These are just some observations and notes on how I have come to deal with my anxieties and fears.

Time to walk down a different path

I just resigned from a well-paying, mostly enjoyable job a couple of weeks ago to once again pursue the things the feed my soul – Technology Entrepreneurship, Product Design, User Experience (UX), Interaction Design (IxD), Visual communication, Photography etc. Leaving the comfort of a good regular paycheck is not easy. Read on for my thoughts.

Brewing a Cup of Bokeh

A friend of mine briefly showed me a photo equipment catalog one weekend and in it was this really colorful image of a cup “bubbling” with bokeh. Although I forgot how the original image looked, I recall that the colors in the image just spoke to me. I resolved to make a similar colorful image some day.

After the iPad 2 announcement this week, it seems like the floodgates bust open on the analyses comparing the specs of the various tablets that are now out there. As usual the techies get all caught up in the numbers and specifications

The Cure for Color Madness

Besides mismatched fonts in presentations, my other biggest bugaboo is seeing mismatched colors. I often show people how the newer versions of powerpoint actually help with picking the right accent colors through the use of pre-defined Color Themes under the Design
